OSAKA (TR) – A fire broke out at a car factory here on Sunday, sending huge plumes of smoke into the sky with no reported injuries.

Police received an emergency call saying a “fire is breaking out” at a car factory at around 3:40 p.m. in Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture, Nippon News Network reports (October 30).

Five workers at the factory were conducting welding work at the time, which authorities believe could have caused the fire that was extinguished by eight fire trucks.

The fire coincided with reports of a temporary power outage in the nearby area, but authorities say its link with the fire is still unclear.
