CHIBA (TR) – A male corpse was discovered floating off the coast of Ichikawa City on Tuesday, authorities have revealed, reports Chiba Nippo (April 26).
At around 10:10 a.m., personnel aboard a vessel for the Chiba Coast Guard found the man floating face-down off the coast of Shiohama.
According to the office, the body showed no signs of external wounds. He is believed to have died several days before the discovery.
Of slender building, he stood about 171 centimeters tall. He had short hair streaked with gray. He was wearing a dark green jacket, navy blue jeans and green sneakers.
Police are now working to identify the man, whose death is being treated as the result of foul play or an accident.
