CHIBA CITY (TR) – A former employee of a hostess club in the Fujimi area of Chiba City allegedly stabbed the establishment’s manager following a dispute on Tuesday evening, reports Sankei Shimbun (May 21).
On Wednesday morning, officers from the Chiba Prefectural Police arrested Junichi Honda, 36, on charges of attempted murder after he stabbed the 48-year-old manager of club Duo in the abdomen and ear with a kitchen knife.
At around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the manager phoned emergency services to say that he had been stabbed. Personnel arriving at the scene found the victim collapsed and bleeding on the road in front of the club.
The manager’s injuries are not considered life threatening.
Earlier that evening, Honda assaulted the manager over a disagreement that resulted in the suspect’s firing. The manager phoned the police but by the time an officer arrived at the scene Honda had already departed. A little over an hour later, the suspect returned and stabbed the manager.
Honda reportedly denies the allegations. “I did not intend to kill him,” the suspect is quoted by police.
