SAITAMA (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Wednesday announced the bust of a prostitution service featuring underage girls in Saitama Prefecture, reports Yomiuri Television (July 2).

Officers took Yoshiyuki Matsui, 40, and Akira Maejima, 40, into custody for arranging illicit encounters between male customers and a 17-year-old prostitute at hotels in Soka City in February. The customers, who were recruited via deai-kei matchmaking sites, were charged 18,000 yen per session.

Both suspects have been charged with violating child welfare laws.

According to police, the girl, a runaway, resided in a residence in Soka provided by the suspects. She served between four and five customers per day.

Other girls, aged 16 and 17, were also employed in the service. They were instructed by the suspects to inform customers that they were over 18 years of age.

Over a two-year period, the organization collected 28 million yen in revenue.
