AICHI (TR) – Aichi Prefectural Police have arrested a 50-year-old woman over the alleged fatal stabbing of male company executive in Nagoya this week, reports NHK (May 28).
At around 10:30 p.m. on May 27, Nobuhiko Shimura, was found bleeding from his back on a street in Higashi Ward. He was later confirmed dead.
On the following morning, police accused Ayano Ito, an acquaintance of Shimura, of murder. “I did not intend to kill,” the suspect told police.
Ito is believed to have stabbed Shimura multiple times in the back with a knife later found dropped at the scene. The results of an autopsy revealed that one stab wound reached the thoracic aorta.

According to investigators, Ito had visited Shimura’s home, located near the crime scene, shortly before the incident. The incident took place after they exited his residence.
Ito left the scene in a car afterward. A police officer later found her in the town of Togo, more than 10 kilometers away.
Police are investigating the possibility that there was some kind of trouble between Ito and Shimura.
