AICHI (TR) – Aichi Prefectural Police have arrested two teachers in Nagoya and Yokohama cities for allegedly taking pictures of female students and sharing the images in a social networking group, reports NHK (June 25).
Between last year and this year, Yuji Moriyama, 42, of Nagoya City and Fumiya Kosemura, 37, of Yokohama City, allegedly took tosatsu (voyeur) pictures of female students’ underwear at facilities in Aichi and Kanagawa prefectures. They then shared the images and videos in a social networking group.
According to the police, the two suspects, both elementary school teachers, have admitted to the charges during questioning. Kosemura said, “I took pictures of female students in their underwear and sent them to people in the group.”

Based on the investigation so far, Moriyama managed the group while participating members were composed of other elementary and middle school teachers from around the country.
Subsequent interviews with the police revealed that approximately 70 images and videos that appear to be of female students were shared in the group, including some that appear to have been taken inside schools.
Sexually explicit images were also shared, including one of a nude female student that was superimposed upon the face of another female student.
The arrests came as a result of another investigation. In January, Shota Mizuto, a 34-year-old elementary school teacher in Nagoya allegedly splashed bodily fluids on a 15-year-old girl’s backpack at a train platform in Atsuta Ward. He was later indicted on charges of property damage.
When the police analyzed Mizuto’s smartphone, they found that he had shared secretly taken photos of female students in the social networking group. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Moriyama and Kosemura.
Police believe that the images were shared repeatedly. The investigation is ongoing.
