ISHIKAWA (TR) – Ishikawa Prefectural Police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a male corpse in a river in Kanazawa City on Monday, reports Nippon News Network (May 13).
At around 6:00 a.m., a passerby tipped off police about “a person floating” in Sai River in the Katamachi area.
Officers arriving at the location confirmed the man, believed to be in his 50s or 60s, dead at the scene. The body did not exhibit any signs of external wounds.
Police are treating the case the result of an accident or a suicide.
