CHIBA (TR) – Chiba Prefectural Police have arrested a 33-year-old man from Wakayama Prefecture over the alleged fatal stabbing his sister at her residence in Matsudo City last week, reports NHK (June 20).
At around 11:15 a.m. on June 20, Fumiyasu Misu allegedly used a knife to repeatedly stab his sister, 37-year-old Marina Misu, in the apartment.
About 15 minutes later, the suspect turned himself in at a police station about 300 meters from the scene. “I killed my sister,” he said.
Upon his arrest, Misu told police, “It is true that I stabbed my sister with a knife, but I did not intend to kill her.”
According to the police, there were more than 10 stab wounds on the body of the suspect’s sister, including to the chest and back, Some of the stab wounds were deep enough to reach the heart.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the incident and are seeking the motive for the crime.
