CHIBA (TR) – Police have arrested three men suspected of breaking into the home of an elderly man in Kimitsu City earlier this year and violently robbing him of a safe, reports Fuji News Network (Apr. 1).
Yusuke Ogo, 27, Ryota Uchiyama, 28, and Kai Miyagawa, 35, allegedly invaded the residence of a 78-year-old man in the Nishihara area early on February 2.
According to police, the trio pushed the victim to the floor, bound his hands with adhesive tape, and thrust a stun gun-like device into his face, threatening him with the demand, “Where is the safe?”
The suspects then fled with a safe containing approximately 1.4 million yen in cash, as well as a collection of commemorative coins.

Investigators believe the three men were disposable “executors” recruited to carry out the attack through an illegal yami baito (underground part-time job) network.
The trio was already in police custody, having been previously arrested by the Kanagawa Prefectural Police for their suspected involvement in a separate robbery resulting in injury that took place in Kamakura City in January.
Authorities are continuing their investigation and are now hunting for the shadowy mastermind believed to be issuing instructions to the men from behind the scenes.
