Person of interest in custody after man found murdered in Matsudo

CHIBA (TR) – Chiba Prefectural Police have detained a male person of interest who is believed to been involved in the murder of another man on a street in Matsudo City early Saturday, reports TBS News (Nov. 9).

At just after 4:00 a.m., Yohei Isogai, 46, was found bleeding and collapsed on a street in Kamihongo, near JR Kita-Matsudo Station.

The man was unconscious when taken to a hospital, but died approximately two hours later.

Police were investigating the case as a murder due to a stab wound in Isogai’s right side. A knife believed to be the murder weapon was found near the crime scene.

Subsequent interviews with investigators revealed that police have detained a man believed to be involved in the incident.

Security camera footage in the area captured the man who is believed to have carried out the stabbing leaving the scene approximately 20 minutes before a call was made to report the discovery of the Isogai.
