TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 23-year-old man from Ehime Prefecture for allegedly coercing an underage girl in the capital into performing lewd acts and filming them, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Jan. 20).
On July 10, 2025, Yuta Kojima, of Matsuyama City, Ehime, allegedly threatened the teenage girl, who was under 18, by telling her he would expose her personal information if she did not perform lewd acts via a video call.
He then took screen shots on his smartphone of her carrying out the acts, which police considered to be producing child pornography.
Upon his arrest on suspicion of non-consensual indecency and violating the Child Prostitution and Pornography Prohibition Act on January 20, Kojima admitted to the allegations. “I need to reflect on my actions,” he said.
Kojima met the girl on social media. In threatening her, he said, “I am a member of a hacker group.” He added that he would expose her personal information.
According to the Takao Police Station, a relative of the girl called police on the day of the incident to report that a man the girl had met on social media had threatened her into sending nude photos.
Obscene images of another female were also found on Kojima’s smartphone. Tokyo police are investigating whether he may have committed any further crimes.
