Officers took Teppei Aruga, the 24-year-old manager of a adult-entertainment parlor, Yusuke Susuga, 25, and three others into custody for violating the Anti-Prostitution Law for allegedly impersonating women on chat applications like KakaoTalk and deai-kei “encounter” matchmaking sites to introduce male customers to female prostitutes.
According to police, Aruga had acquired 120 identification codes for KakaoTalk and other similar services.
Since April of last year, the group had collected 120 million yen in revenue.
