TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Sunday shut down a special club in which the male members have sex with prostitutes in high-end hotel rooms, reports TBS News (May 27).
Officers took Masataka Morikawa, the 45-year-old manager of VIP Club Queen, into custody for violating the Anti-Prostitution Law.
On Sunday, officers entered a suite room inside a hotel in Minato Ward and discovered two male customers and two female employees engaged in sexual acts.
According to police, Morikawa utilized the club’s Web site to assemble male participants for the orgies, which are located in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
Over the past two years, VIP Club Queen has collected 38 million yen in revenue, police said.
Morikawa has reportedly denied the allegations. “I did not think that this is prostitution,” the suspect is quoted by police, according to Nippon News Network.
A female employee told police that Morikawa had given instructions for what to do should there be a raid by the police. “He told us to say that we are engaging in a hobby,” she said.
