TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Thursday arrested a 40-year-old contract employee who has admitted involvement in a series incidents in which he splashed bodily fluids on women in train cars, reports TBS News (April 9).

On December 11 at 9:30 a.m., Tetsuya Fukuda is alleged to have discharged bodily fluid of himself onto the skirt of an 18-year-old high school girl inside a crowded JR Sobu Line car traveling between Kinshicho and Akihabara stations.

Upon exiting the train at Akihabara, the girl noticed the substance on her clothing and alerted police. The results of DNA analysis of the material lead police to Fukuda.

According to the Asahi Shimbun (April 9), the suspect had removed the inside of his jacket pocket so that he was able to reach down to his genital area.

Fukuda, who has been charged with damaging property, has reportedly admitted to the allegations. “I get excited when in close contact with a woman on a crowded train,” the suspect is quoted by police.

According to police, Fukuda has admitted participation in more than 100 other similar incidents on the Sobu Line since 2011.
