TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a right wing activist for damaging the office of a publisher over an article that he claims disparaged Crown Prince Naruhito, reports TBS News (May 5).

On the evening of May 4, Kohei Matsuda, 24, allegedly entered the offices of Wac, located in Chiyoda Ward, by smashing a window. He then poured black paint on the floor and sprayed the contents of a fire extinguisher inside.

Matsuda (@m_k0824), who has been charged with trespassing, told police that he found displeasure with an article appearing in the June issue of the conservative magazine Will titled “An Admonition to the Crown Prince.”

“The content was disrespectful,” the suspect is quoted by police.

Matsuda telephoned police himself from the office in alerting officers to the alleged crime.

Matsuda serves on the board of the Dai Nippon Aikoku Dantai Rengo Jikoku Taisaku Kyogikai right wing group.
