OSAKA (TR) – Osaka Prefectural Police have arrested a 44-year-old unemployed man on suspicion of blackmailing, sexually assaulting and filming a high school girl he met via social media, reports TBS News (July 31).
According to police, Hisanori Hashimoto, a resident of Higashiosaka City, is accused of assaulting the teen at a hotel in Osaka Prefecture in August of last year.
Prior to the incident, Hashimoto allegedly met the girl and photographed items that revealed her personal information. He then used this information to extort her, threatening, “If you don’t meet me, I’ll tell your parents and your school,” before forcing her to accompany him to a hotel, where the assault and filming took place.
The crime came to light during an ongoing investigation into Hashimoto, who has already been arrested and indicted for the sexual assault of a different high school girl.
During the investigation, officers confiscated Hashimoto’s smartphone, which contained videos featuring more than a dozen other women, police said.
Authorities have not disclosed whether Hashimoto has admitted to the allegations.
