CHIBA (TR) – Chiba Prefectural Police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a corpse on a reclamation site in a residential area of Chiba City, reports TBS News (June 10).
At about 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, workers tipped off police about the discovery of skeletal remains within a pile of plastic sheeting a futon and other refuse at the site, located in Midori Ward.
The body, which is of unknown gender, was clothed in a dark long-sleeve shirt and white pants.
Police are now working to identify the body.
