TOKYO (TR) – Publisher Akita Shoten has announced that it will release the first photo book for AKB48 member Ayane Takahashi.
The book, whose title has yet to be decided, will be released on February 28. Set in a downtown studio overlooking Tokyo Bay and Miyakojima, home to some of Japan’s most beautiful beaches, the book is an exploration of Takahashi’s everyday experiences.
“My hair was still long when I shot in Tokyo,” the 28-year-old said in a press release, “but since there was still a little time before the Miyakojima shoot, I decided to cut it short. I love how fresh the outfits are in each scene, but the scene where I’m riding a dolphin float in the ocean reminded me of when I came to Miyakojima with my family.”
The photo book is packed with rare swimsuit shots amidst breathtaking scenery, according to the publisher, from traditional houses and sugarcane fields to high-end villas, dazzling beaches and hidden gems. She also takes on her first lingerie scene, boldly revealing even more.
“I don’t usually do much gravure [pin-up] modeling, so this was a truly valuable opportunity, and it has made me even more motivated to study photography than ever before,” Takahashi said. “We were blessed with great weather throughout the shoot, so I was happy to be able to see beautiful scenery every day. I hope you will turn the pages and feel as if you are with me, surrounded by the dazzling, big sun and breathtaking scenery.”
