The detective, a 59-year-old assistant inspector from the Iwasaki Police Station, is alleged to have produced fake search documents to present to communications companies in order to receive the full names and home addresses of female employees at sex clubs over the course of a four-year period through 2014.
“I wanted to know the social status of the women,” the assistant inspector is quoted by police.
In November of last year, the assistant inspector was accused of drunken driving after an accident on a road in Tokyo’s Kunitachi City. During the investigation into the accident, the fake inquiries came to light.
