NAGOYA (TR) – Aichi Prefectural Police on Friday arrested 38-year-old male for allegedly defrauding multiple female employees in the adult entertainment trade, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Oct. 25).
Officers took Ryo Shimabukuro, 38, a resident of Nagoya, into custody for posing as the head of a company and collecting approximately 100 million yen as investments from multiple hostesses and sex workers over a three-year period.
According to the Asahi Shimbun (Oct. 25), one victim was a 28-year-old “delivery health” deri heru (out-call sex) employee at a high-end club in Nagoya. On multiple occasions since November 29 of last year, the victim gave the suspect a total 50 million yen.
Shimabukuro, who falsely claimed to be the president of a medical company, told the woman that her investments would quadruple in value in four years. On Thursday, the woman became suspicious of the Shimabukuro and phoned law enforcement.
Shimabukuro became acquainted with the victims by being a patron at the clubs. The 28-year-old victim said that since her club was of high status she trusted its customers.
According to police, the suspect used the money he collected for entertainment and to pay off debts.
