TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police last week busted a prostitution club that utilized dating sites to recruit male customers, reports Fuji News Network (Jan. 24).
On Friday, officers arrested manager Yutaka Ida, 35, and three other suspects for the alleged dispatching a prostitute, 24, to Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture for a sex session with a 32-year-old male for a fee of 16,000 yen — a violation of the Anti-Prostitution Law.
Ida has reportedly admitted to the allegations.
To attract customers, the suspects posted messages on “encounter” deai-kei matchmaking sites in which they pretended to be women.
In meeting customers, the club delivered the women by car from the Kabukicho red-light district of Shinjuku Ward.
According to police, the operation avoided the intense competition in Tokyo by focusing on customers in neighboring prefectures. Over the past 18 months, the group has collected 53 million yen in revenue, according to TV Asahi (Jan. 24).
