At approximately 3:55 p.m. on Sunday, cleaning personnel at the Ohirune Racco Suzuka hotel, located in the Shirokocho area, discovered a fully nude woman collapsed and bleeding from her head inside a room’s bathroom. The woman, appearing to be in her 20s to 40s, died after being transported to a nearby hospital by emergency personnel.
An examination of the body revealed that it appeared she was struck in the head.
In seeking the perpetrator, police are now examining security camera footage and the hotel’s register for the customer who entered that room at approximately 2:30 p.m., according to Fuji News Network (Aug. 10).
Police are also working to confirm the woman’s identity.
