Amagasaki man arrested for sexually assaulting 6th-grade stepdaughter at home

HYOGO (TR) – Hyogo Prefectural Police this week arrested a 41-year-old company employee in Amagasaki City for allegedly sexually assaulting his stepdaughter, reports the Kobe Shimbun (Nov. 6).

The Amagasaki Higashi Police Station confirmed the arrest of the man for sexual intercourse of a minor by a guardian on Thursday.

According to authorities, the suspect has admitted to the allegations, telling investigators, “There is no mistake.”

Police allege that around October 10, the suspect engaged in sexual intercourse with his stepdaughter — a sixth-grade elementary school student — at their family home. Investigators say the suspect was fully aware that the girl was under the age of 18 and used his position of influence as a guardian to coerce the victim.

The incident came to light after the suspect’s wife returned home to discover the man on top of the young girl. Three days later, on October 13, the wife contacted the police to report that her husband had committed an indecent act against her daughter, leading to an immediate investigation.

The suspect remains in custody as police continue to investigate the details of the domestic abuse.
