TOKYO (TR) – Voice actor Yuji Mitsuya on Friday revealed on X that he suffered serious injuries during a fall while drunk.
Mitsuya wrote on X, “On January 27, I got drunk and fell. I hit my head pretty hard and passed out. When I woke up, I was in a hospital bed being treated. Maybe I was taken to the hospital by ambulance? I don’t remember.”
He also revealed that he suffered serious injuries, including a “gauge on my forehead, four stitches on my eyelid, and a broken nose.” “There was also bleeding in my brain.”
The broken nose required immediate surgery. In a photograph posted to his account, Mitsuya is shown with his forehead covered in a large piece of gauze and protective tape. His eyelids were red and swollen, he had abrasions under his eyes and on the tip of his nose and the bridge of his nose appeared to be quite wide and bulging.
Mitsuya expressed deep remorse. He added, “If the impact had been in a different spot, I could have died.”
