KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police have arrested four persons connected to a soapland bathhouse in Kawasaki City on suspicion of providing prostitution, reports TBS News (Jan. 22).
Police allege that Shunsuke Kawamoto, a 48-year-old executive of a firm that manages Crystal Kyoto Minamimachi, and three other suspects provided a place for women to engage in prostitution with customers and knowing that they would do so.
Police did not reveal whether the suspects admit to violating the Anti-Prostitution Law.

Two years ago, a different bathhouse managed by the company was raided. Documents seized at that time led to the latest arrests.
Crystal Kyoto Minamimachi has around 80 customers per day. Annual sales reach around 560 million yen.
During a search of the premises, investigators found only a small amount of cash, which led them to believe sales proceeds are being funneled to a criminal group.
