CHIBA (TR) – Chiba Prefectural Police have arrested a 42-year-old man over the alleged fatal stabbing of his mother at their residence in Chiba City on Friday, reports TBS News (July 19).
At just past 10:00 a.m., a relative of Yasuko Fujishiro, 68, alerted police after finding her collapsed in the garden of the residence in Hanamigawa Ward with a knife in her back.
“My son did it to me,” she told police upon the arrival of police. Fujishiro was taken to hospital, but died a short time later.
Police later detained her son on a street in Chiba City.
Upon his arrest on suspicion of murder, he denied the charges. “As far as I can remember, I did not stab my mother with a kitchen knife,” he said.
