OKINAWA (TR) – A 61-year-old taxi driver living in Nago City in custody for abandoning the body of his girlfriend was further accused of murder on October 11, police have revealed, reports NHK (Oct. 11).
On September 21, Kazuhiro Seki is suspected suffocating to death 51-year-old Chigusa Furuha (51), a restaurant employee, inside the unit of an apartment complex that they shared.
In commenting on allegations of murder, Seki admitted to the charges, police said.

After committing the alleged crime, Seki fled the scene. On September 22, Furuha was found dead inside the apartment.
Seven days later, prefectural police apprehended Seki in Osaka Prefecture. He was subsequently accused of abandoning her body.
Police accused Seki of murder after examining the results of an autopsy conducted on Furuha’s body and using previous statements made by the suspect.
Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.
