OSAKA (TR) – Osaka Prefectural Police have launched an investigation into the dumping of a woman’s corpse in a parking lot for a distribution company in Takatsuki City, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Aug. 14).

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, a male employee getting off work found the body, whose arms were tied behind the back with adhesive tape, next to a truck in the lot.

The estimated age of the victim is between that of a teenager and 20s. The body was clothed in a black tank top, white shirt and denim shorts, but it did not have shoes. Police observed several wounds possibly due to a knife on the body.

The parking lot is located about 1.6 kilometers from Hirakata-koen Station on the Keihan Electric Railway Keihan Main Line. The area is surrounded by factories and residences.

Since police received no information about suspicious activity during that day, it is speculated that the woman died in another location and was later moved to the parking lot.

Police are now working to identify the victim. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
