Pairity for charity: Tokyo porn channel raises funds for AIDS

TOKYO (TR) – Very few company presidents could sit in a conference room and casually explain why he will later this month allow the general public to enter his corporate headquarters and fondle the breasts of a selection of the female staff for a modest donation to charity. Yet Tsuyoshi Shiba, chief of provocative porn channel Paradise TV, is indeed one of them.

“By simply broadcasting our programs, that is one way to interact with society,” says the soft-spoken 60-year-old from beneath a billowing mane of dark hair. “But we wanted a more direct interaction with our viewers so that we can better distinguish ourselves.”

The use of “direct” might be the understatement of the year.

Over the last weekend of August, viewers are invited to the Shinjuku studio of Paradise TV, which will be broadcasting live on its satellite provider Sky PerfecTV!, to grasp the exposed chests of five of the female staffers who anchor the channel’s naked news programs — and yes, the segments are exactly as revealing as the name implies — for a suggested donation of 1,000 yen that goes to the prevention of AIDS, a condition that continues to be a worsening problem in Japan. Livedoor founder Takafumi Horie to produce porn film

TOKYO (TR) – Takafumi Horie, disgraced former president of Web portal Livedoor, announced last night on satellite broadcaster Paradise TV that he is producing an adult video.

The site founder said the feature will include notable AV starlet Nina and be released through porn publishing house Soft On Demand. The news came just prior to his participation in a game of “strip” mahjong with three adult video actresses that was broadcast live on Paradise TV, an adult channel known for its wacky and provocative programming.

In March of 2007, Horie was found guilty of falsely reporting a 300-million-yen loss as a 5-billion-yen gain on the Livedoor books. Two years ago, he lost his appeal on his two-and-a-half-year prison sentence. He subsequently submitted an appeal to the Supreme Court. He is now out on a 600-million-yen bail.

With a t-shirt that read “All Rumours Are True” covering his portly frame, Horie enthusiastically watched as the ladies systematically disrobed over the course of the game, which involves the matching of various rectangular tiles featuring various images. Read more

Paper’s pride probed for ad featuring supplement-soliciting AV actress

Determining that an ad in a recent edition of the Asahi Shimbun newspaper was a tad over the top — given the appearance of a popular adult video (AV) actress — weekly tabloid Shukan Bunshun (Apr. 22) defends its typically titillating turf by calling the conservative daily into account for its actions.

Placed on page 25 of the April 2 edition was an advertisement for an “energy-enhancement” supplement. “It builds men’s confidence,” reads the copy. Positioned next to the large headline is a very sexy lady. She is 39-year-old Reiko Shimura, who is given the titles of “exclusive advisor” for Horiki, the name of the medicinal product, and “V-Cinema actress,” which refers to direct-to-video film productions. TOKYO (TR) – The last few months have been a whirlwind of activity for adult video (AV) starlet Saori Hara.

The claims from a caller dialing Shukan Jitsuwa’s tip desk were most tempting: “Right now I am in a love hotel for a deri heru service with a girl who resembles an idol I’ve seen on television. I have to say that it really looks like her! I’d like for you to confirm whether I am correct or not! We are in Shibuya at…”

Being a magazine that frequently covers the activities of call girls, as a deri heru gal might be best described, such an offer for the tabloid proved too irresistible to ignore and for an article appearing in its Apr. 22 issue a reporter was dispatched to the scene within one hour.

Upon arrival the couple were in the midst of exiting the lobby — at least a male matching the description conveyed over the phone was accompanied by a shapely lass in stockings, high heels and a long winter coat (as she was seen to be wearing in a pair of grainy black and white photos supplied by the tabloid).

That gal, the reporter concluded, was talent Urara Hanazono. A writer specializing in the idol beat, who joined Shukan Jitsuwa’s main reporter at the scene, gave his stamp of approval on the identification. Read more

Shibuya AV company president arrested for rape

The president of an adult video (AV) company based in Tokyo’s Shibuya Ward was taken into custody by officers from the Harajuku Police Station on March 25 for rape, reports Shukan Jitsuwa (Apr. 15).

The incident, whose victim was an aspiring models, occurred during an interview last July in the company’s headquarters, located inside an apartment building. The tabloid says the president, 49, uses the pseudonym Tsunehiko Origuchi. Sankei Sports (Mar. 26) indicates that the suspect’s real name is Koki Yamaguchi, residing in Tokyo’s Setagaya Ward, and that the victim is 20 years old.

Origuchi usually uses the name ‘Ryutaro Higuchi’ when scouting. “When he started, he scouted AV girls on a freelance basis,” explains a person connected to the AV industry to the weekly. “In one week, he could pull in 10 beauties. He was making six million yen in a month. From that time, he became really famous in the AV production industry. So a lot of companies were utilizing his services. However, he behaves badly with women; he’s always banging the actresses. Because of that, the companies don’t keep him around for a long time.” Read more
