On Sunday, two men accosted a 62-year-old employee of a TUC shop, which is used for the redemption of cash and prizes for pachinko players, just after it had closed at approximately 11:00 p.m.
In demanding money, the suspects grabbed hold of the employee and threatened him with a knife. After taking the employee back inside the premises, the men fled the scene with 4.5 million yen in cash from a safe he was forced to open.
The perpetrators, both of whom were attired in black clothing and hats, stand approximately 165 centimeters in height. They are believed to be aged in their 20s.
Police are examining surveillance camera footage to determine the whereabouts the suspects, according to TBS News (Oct. 10).
