ISHIKAWA (TR) – Ishikawa Prefectural Police have arrested a taxi driver for allegedly molesting a female passenger in Kanazawa City last month, reports Nippon News Network (Aug. 2).

In the early morning hours of July 17, Noboru Takase, 68, allegedly rubbed the thighs of the woman, aged in her 20s, over a 10-minute period after she reclined in the back seat of his cab.

Takase, who has been charged with pseudo-indecent assault, admits to the charges.  “I did it for stimulation,” the suspect is quoted by police.

The woman, who was highly intoxicated at the time, reported the incident to police three days later. “I was too scared to scream out,” the woman told police in recalling the incident.
