KANAGAWA (TR) – Police have arrested a male nurse on suspicion of secretly filming female patients receiving full-body hair removal treatments at cosmetic clinics earlier this year, reports Nippon News Network (May 21).
Shusuke Kuwataka is accused of planting hidden cameras inside treatment rooms at clinics run by the same medical corporation in Yokohama and Kawasaki cities.
Between approximately 2:20 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. on January 10, he took tosatsu (voyeur) footage of a 22-year-old female office worker who was receiving full-body hair removal treatment at the Kawasaki clinic.
In the second case, he secretly filmed a 19-year-old female office worker who was receiving treatment at the Yokohama clinic between approximately 9:30 a.m. and 10:20 a.m. on February 17.
Upon his arrest for violating the Law Banning the Taking of Sexually Explicit Photographs, the suspect fully admitted to the allegations. “I wanted to see naked women,” Kuwataka told investigators.

According to police, Kuwataka would check the clinic’s appointment schedules to track when female patients were booked for full-body treatments. Prior to the procedures, he allegedly positioned a hidden camera on a shelf inside the room.
A subsequent search of Kuwataka’s residence uncovered an array of miniature spy cameras disguised as everyday objects, including a clock and a cup lid.
Police also discovered video footage of approximately 10 other individuals on his personal computer, prompting an ongoing investigation into further offenses.
