FUKUOKA (TR) – Fukuoka Prefectural Police on Friday arrested a 47-year-old man for killing his girlfriend, with whom he was engaged in an extra-marital affair, more than a decade ago in Kurume City, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Jan. 23).
Sometime between October of 2004 and the following April, Kazuhiko Yoshidomi is alleged to have stabbed Katsumi Shiga to death inside her apartment.

“I stabbed her with a kitchen knife,” the suspect is quoted by police in admitting to the charges. He added that he buried their bodies near his residence in Imari City, Saga Prefecture.
The following day, police found two corpses at the indicated location. The results of a DNA analysis confirmed one of them to be that of Shiga, whose body was found wrapped in a plastic sheet. The other corpse was inside a bag. A knife was also found nearby.
