FUKUOKA (TR) – Fukuoka Prefectural Police on Wednesday busted an out-call prostitution ring that employed a junior-high school girl, reports the Nishi Nippon Shimbun (Dec. 24).
Officers took a 36-year-old male resident of Hakata Ward and two other suspects into custody for dispatching the girl, who was 14 years old at the time, to a hotel in the Kasuya district of Fukuoka for an illicit encounter with a 41-year-old male office worker.
Police charged the suspects with violating child welfare and anti-prostitution laws.
Referred to by the name enjo kosai — meaning compensated dating — the service utilized deai-kei matchmaking sites to introduce customers to prostitutes.
