AV actress Hana Kuraki: Speculation about alleged abuse by host boyfriend continues

TOKYO (TR) – The management agency for adult video (AV) actress Hana Kuraki earlier this week announced her sudden death, issuing an unusually forceful statement expressing “strong anger” over widespread rumors that she was the victim of violent abuse by a host club boyfriend.

On Monday, Kuraki’s agency confirmed her passing on its official website. The announcement comes on the heels of rampant social media speculation regarding the AV debutante’s turbulent private life and alleged mistreatment.

Addressing the rumors directly, the agency stated it is “taking the current information extremely seriously.”

“Thinking about how deeply hurt and suffering she was during her life is heartbreaking, and at the same time, we feel a strong anger regarding this series of actions,” the agency said in a statement that has sent shockwaves through her fanbase.

“Wounds not healed”

While the agency declined to release specific details out of respect for her grieving family and her privacy, their refusal to deny the rumors — and their explicit expression of anger — has led many to believe the allegations of domestic violence are accurate.

The allegations surfaced in mid-September when internet influencers leaked screenshots of Line messages allegedly exchanged between Kuraki and a male host. The leaks suggested the actress had been subjected to severe physical violence and extortion.

Fans had already noticed alarming signs regarding the actress’s physical well-being earlier in the year. On June 7, Kuraki announced a temporary hiatus on X, telling followers that her “wounds have not completely healed.”

Visible bruises

Weeks later, on June 24, she posted a full-body photo on Instagram where dark, highly visible bruises could be seen on her wrists and knees, prompting a flood of concerned comments from followers. She continued to update her social media accounts until her final post on September 5.

Prior to her entry into the adult entertainment industry, Kuraki garnered a significant following after appearing on the popular Fuji TV reality romance show “Ainori Asian Journey Season 2” in 2019. She had recently been cast in several late-night television variety programs.

The exact circumstances surrounding her tragic death remain under intense public scrutiny as fans demand answers.
