The grisly discovery was made shortly after 7:00 a.m., after a foreign national believed to be the woman’s husband arrived at the Konosu Police Station wearing bloodstained clothing.
Officers accompanied the man back to his residence, a three-story apartment building in the Higashi 2-chome area. There, they found the Nepali woman collapsed in a passageway, bleeding heavily from her head.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead approximately one hour later.
