SAITAMA (TR) – The Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Taxation Bureau announced on Wednesday that a female employee has resigned after it was learned she was moonlighting at so-called “delivery health” services, reports Jiji Press (May 27).
Following the revelations, the tax bureau disciplined the unnamed staffer, aged in her 20s, with a salary reduction of 20 percent for three months. However, she subsequently resigned.
The unnamed staffer, who had been assigned to an office in Saitama Prefecture, explained that she engaged in the side hustle because she “wanted to raise funds to support an underground idol.”
As a delivery health employee, she was dispatched to various locations to provide sex services to men. However, such an arrangement was not suitable for her.
“Since waiting at delivery health services was a waste of time, I started engaging in papakatsu,” she said in referring to compensated dating.
According to the tax bureau, the employee was scouted in Tokyo in October of last year and worked at five delivery health establishments, earning a total of approximately 1.8 million yen by March of this year.
The staffer also began papakatsu in January, receiving approximately 500,000 yen from about 30 men she met through social media. The activities came to light after a tip-off.
Hiroyuki Arai, head of the Public Relations and Public Hearing Office at the Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Taxation Bureau, stated: “We deeply apologize for undermining public trust. We take this matter very seriously and will thoroughly work to prevent such misconduct.”
