TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have rearrested a male host in the Kabukicho red-light district who is suspected of using a dating app to lure women to his club, reports TV Asahi (Feb. 20).
According to investigators, Takuto Takeoka, 27, was working as a host in Shinjuku Ward’s Kabukicho district, but on the dating app he falsely stated his occupation as a “marketing manager for a listed company” to meet a woman.
He then allegedly lured the woman into his club as a customer, telling her that he was actually working as a host on the side to pursue his future dreams.

Takeoka is believed to have had the woman visit his club three times. She ran up bills of approximately 2.5 million yen.
Police first arrested Takeoka for the same crime involving another woman late last month. Upon his arrest on suspicion of violating the Law Regulating Adult Entertainment Businesses regarding soliciting, Takeoka remained silent.
As previously reported, Takeoka joined the club in October 2024. The suspect made approximately 140 million yen in sales last year, which was 30 percent of the club’s total.
Documents compiling the names and financial status of around 400 women were found on Takeoka’s smartphone. Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department are investigating whether there may be other victims.
As part of its measures against unscrupulous host clubs that force female customers to pay unreasonably high fees, the National Police Agency issued operational guidelines in October 2025 stating that asking a woman approached on a dating app to visit a club without disclosing the purpose of the solicitation could constitute “soliciting,” which is prohibited under the adult-entertainment law.
