TOCHIGI (TR) – Tochigi Prefectural Police have arrested a bus driver who allegedly used a small camera to take illicit images of female passengers, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Mar. 20).

Beginning on Saturday at8:20 a.m., Takayuki Yoshizawa, a 51-year-old employee of Toya Kotsu, allegedly filmed up the skirts of women on the bus with a small camera mounted next to the money box over a 20-minute period in Tochigi City.

Yoshizawa, who has been charged with violating a public nuisance ordinance, admits the allegations, according to the Mooka Police Station.

The matter came to light after a male passenger lodged a complaint with police. The passenger had earlier questioned the suspect about the camera, and became suspicious when he claimed it was a “sensor.”

Police are now investigating whether Yoshizawa has been involved in other crimes.
