IBARAKI (TR) – Following the discovery last month of the corpse of a man in the town of Sakai, Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested two men and a woman for allegedly holding the victim captive.
In June, Shogo Umeda, 33, Ayuka Tadano, 24 and Seiya Kumazaki, 27, are suspected of luring Jun Matsunaga from Tokyo’s Nerima Ward out to a van and holding him captive by tying his arms.
Police have not revealed whether the three suspects admit allegations of confinement.

On October 14, officers discovered Matsunaga’s nearly naked body at a depth of around two meters in a grassy area of Sakai. Police later arrested Umeda, Kumazaki and several others on suspicion of abandoning a corpse.
According to police, Umeda became angry with Matsunaga over a relationship with a female acquaintance. He then instructed Tadano, who knew Matsunaga, to lure him out.
Umeda told the female acquaintance, “Watch what happens to men who get involved with you.” Police are continuing the investigation on suspicion of murder.
