SAITAMA (TR9 – A 63-year-old care specialist was slashed to death at a residence in Kawaguchi City on Monday by a man who then apparently took his own life, local police said, reports TV Asahi (June 2)
Shortly after 3:00 p.m., emergency dispatchers received a chilling call. “I slashed the care specialist’s neck,” the male caller stated. “I am going to stab myself now.”
Officers rushed to the residence in the Iiharacho area, where they found Kiyoko Suzuki bleeding profusely. She was transported to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
A 60-year-old man, believed to be the resident of the home and the caller, was also found dead at the scene.
According to investigative sources, Suzuki, a certified care specialist, was visiting the home to provide nursing care support for the man’s mother. The mother was not injured in the incident.
When the son reported the incident, he also said that Suzuki was “swindling him out of money.”
Police are continuing to investigate the case as a murder-suicide.
