YAMANASHI (TR) – Yamanashi Prefectural Police have launched an investigation into potential foul play after a woman in her 30s was found dead inside a hotel room in the resort town of Fujikawaguchiko, reports TV Asahi (Oct. 19).
On Monday, an employee of the hotel contacted emergency services to report that a guest was “collapsed on a bed” inside one of the rooms.
According to police, responding officers found the woman, who had been staying in the room, lying unresponsive on the bed. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators revealed that the woman’s body showed signs of external injuries.
Police are currently working to identify the victim and determine the exact cause of death, treating the case as a possible homicide.
