EHIME (TR) – Police in Matsuyama City have arrested a 36-year-old man accused of infiltrating the women’s section of a local hot spring facility while dressed as a woman, reports Ai TV (Oct. 18).
The suspect, a self-styled company employee from Ozu City, was arrested on the spot late on the night of the 17th on suspicion of trespassing.
According to police, the man slipped into the women’s bath at the facility at around 11:00 p.m. while wearing female attire. However, his disguise failed to fool a female customer, who found his appearance suspicious and immediately alerted the staff.
Facility employees confronted the suspect, quickly confirming he was male, and detained him. Shortly after 11:30 p.m., a staff member placed an emergency call to police, reporting, “A man has entered the women’s bath and we have caught him.”
During questioning, the suspect fully admitted to the allegations. “I went in because I wanted to see women’s naked bodies,” he told investigators.
Police are currently investigating the exact details of the incident and looking into whether the man has committed similar offenses in the past.
