KAGOSHIMA (TR) – Kagoshima Prefectural Police have identified the nude corpse found in Hioki City over the weekend as that of a 56-year-old man, reports Nippon News Network (Mar. 23).
At around 7:00 a.m. on March 22, a passerby to a greenhouse in Ijuincho, Hioki City reported, “A fully nude man is dead.”
Emergency personnel arriving at the scene found the naked man lying face-up. He had no clothes or shoes. However, clothes and sandals were also found in separate location nearby.
A subsequent investigation revealed that the body is that of Hisani Nagai, a resident of Oyamadacho, Kagoshima City.
There were no visible external injuries on Nagai’s body. Police are now seeking the cause of death. The case is being treated as the result of foul play or an accident.
Sapporo corpse
A local news outlet in Sapporo City, Hokkaido Prefecture reported the discovery of a man’s corpse in a river on March 21.
At around 8:45 p.m., a man passing by the Fushigo River in Kita Ward alerted police. “Something like a person is floating [in the river].”
About 20 minutes later, emergency personnel pulled the man from the water. However, he was confirmed dead at the scene.
Chiba corpse
Chiba Prefectural Police have announced that skeletal remains believed to be that of an adult were found in a bamboo forest in Wakaba Ward, Chiba City last week.
The age and gender of the body are unknown. There were no visible injuries or missing parts. Police are currently in the process of confirming the identity of the person.
