TOKYO (TR) – Police arrested a man here on Friday for bringing the body of his girlfriend into a police station in Adachi Ward, the Sankei Shimbun reports (Nov. 12).
Seigo Nakamachi, 61, was arrested after he walked into the Ayase Police Station and claimed he “brought a body,” which was that of Mikiko Okada, 56, found in the trunk of his car at around 8:00 p.m., police said.
Nakamachi, who has been charged with abandoning a corpse, admits to the allegations. According to TV Asahi, was quoted by police as saying Okada was “dead when I woke up in a hotel room [this morning] in Chiba Prefecture.”
With the body not exhibiting any external wounds, police suspect that she died a natural death. However, police will await the results of an autopsy
