Man suspected of cutting woman’s hair on bus in Kobe

HYOGO (TR) – Hyogo Prefectural Police have arrested a 20-year-old man for allegedly cutting the hair of a woman on a bus in Kobe City earlier this month, reports ABC News (Feb. 19).

At around 8:20 a.m. on February 18, university student Yuki Takao allegedly used scissors to cut about 10 centimeters of her hair as she sat in the seat in front of him on the bus as it traveled through Higashigotanda Ward.

Upon his arrest on suspicion of assault the following day, Takao admitted to the allegations. He said, “I cut [her hair] to satisfy my sexual desires.”

At the tine of the incident, the woman was commuting to work. Afterward, she noticed the lost hair and called police.

The following morning during rush hour, police stopped Takao near a bus stop after noticing that he met her description of the assailant in the incide¥nt.

During voluntary questioning, police found scissors in his bag.
