Kenji Haga suspected of sexually abusing women in Okinawa

OKINAWA (TR) – Okinawa Prefectural Police have arrested celebrity Kenji Haga, 64, over alleged indecent acts committed against two women at a bar in the prefecture last year, reports TBS News (Feb. 10).

From 7:05 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. of March 27, Haga, whose real name is Mikio Tono, is suspected of groping the two women, aged in their 30s and 50s, inside the establishment.

According to police, Haga attempted to kiss one of the women at the establishment, which does not offer sexual services.

Police have not revealed whether Haga admits to allegations of indecent acts without consent.

The incident came to light after one of the female victims contacted the police. Haga was arrested on Monday.

Haga was acquainted with the women. He is believed to have been drinking at the time.

Police are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.
