TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested kabuki actor Tsurumatsu Nakamura, 30, for damaging the door of a kebab shop in Taito Ward over the weekend, reports the Yomiuri Shimbun (Jan. 19).
At around around 12:50 a.m. on January 18, Nakamura, whose real name is name Daiki Shimizu, allegedly kicking in the wooden entrance door of the kebab shop in Nishi-Asakusa.
Upon his arrest on suspicion of causing property damage that same day, Nakamura denied the allegations. He said, “I was drunk and don’t remember.” Police sent him to prosecutors on Monday.
According to the Kuramae Police Station, a shop employee reprimanded Nakamura for using the shop’s restroom without permission before the incident. Nakamura then became violent.
Police officers arrived after receiving a call from the shop employee and subdued him.
