FUKUOKA (TR) – A man in custody over the stabbing of a male staff member of idol group HKT48 in last month has been further accused in a second incident that happened shortly thereafter, police said, reports Fuji News Network (Jan. 5).

On December 14, Naoya Yamaguchi, a resident of Itoshima City, allegedly stabbed a male staff member for HKT48, 44, with a knife-like object at the BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA shopping center, located in Fukuoka City’s Chuo Ward.

Minutes later, he also allegedly stabbed a 27-year-old woman nearby.

Yamaguchi is already in custody on suspicion of attempted murder over the stabbing the staff member. On Monday, he was further accused of the same crime in the case involving the woman.

She suffered serious injuries will require one month to heal, police said.
