NAGANO (TR) – An executive for a construction company in Gifu Prefecture was found dead in a forest here last week the day after he departed for a job site, police said.
According to Fuji News Network (Mar. 29), the deceased is a 66-year-old company executive from Gero City, Gifu.
On March 27, he went missing after heading to a construction site in Otaki Village, Kiso District. He was found dead in a forest the following day.
According to police, the man finished a business meeting in Otaki Village shortly before 11:00 a.m. on March 27. He then drove alone to the construction site. He disappeared without a trace.
Police and firefighters began searching around 7:00 a.m. the next day. At just after 2:00 p.m., a company employee found him lying on a forest road near the construction site.
The body exhibited no external injuries. Police are investigating the cause of death and whether there was any foul play.
